    Cookies

This website uses cookies for usability purposes (session cookies), for corporate identity, and for measuring visitor behaviour on the site (via Google Analytics).

    What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the device with which you use to visit a website, and contain information pertaining to (your visit to) such websites. For example, they can be used to remember user-specific settings, such as preferred language.

    What are cookies used for?

This website makes use of various cookies:

    • Session cookies
For ease of use; your input and choices are remembered (such as input on forms). The session cookie registers which parts of the website are viewed during a visit, giving us feedback that can be used to adjust the website to fit better with our user’s behaviours. The session cookies are removed from the device as soon as you close your browser.
    • Google Analytics cookie
These cookies allow us to measure various statistics related to a website visit, e.g., which pages are the most popular, which browsers are used to view the site, and what the most commonly used screen format is. Such measurements are kept as anonymous as possible, and will only be used by us to make improvements to the website. Google Analytics is one of the most widely used web analysis services and is provided by Google Inc. The information measured may be given by Google to third parties in cases where Google is legally obligated to do so, or if the information is to be processed by a third party on behalf of Google. We have permitted Google to use the obtained information for other Google Services. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers based in the United States of America. Google states that it adheres to the ‘Safe Harbor principles’, and that it is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the United States Department of Commerce, which implies an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal data. These cookies do not store the user’s name, address, or other personal information, although the user’s IP address may be stored in some cases. In such cases the last 8 bits of the IP address are masked. We have also set up Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly manner: A data processing agreement has been made with Google, “data sharing” has been disabled, and we do not use any other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies.

    How can you disable cookies?

Cookies can be disabled via your browser settings (for specific browser settings, consult the help function). Please note that doing so will only disable cookies for that specific browser on that specific device.

Further information regarding disabling cookies can be found here, as provided by the Ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie. Should you choose not to accept the cookies used by this website, a ‘no-follow cookie’ will be placed on the device used to visit this website. The only purpose of the no-follow cookie is to register your choice not to accept the cookies implemented by this website.
